Curriculum background

    According to the provisions of Article 44 of the food safety law, food production and operation enterprises shall provide food safety knowledge training for their employees, equip food safety management personnel, and strengthen their training and assessment. Those who do not have the ability of food safety management after assessment shall not take the post.

    On May 9, 2019, "opinions of the State Council on deepening reform and strengthening food safety work" further proposed that the qualified rate of random inspection and assessment of legal knowledge of personnel in food quality and safety management posts should reach more than 90%. On July 3, 2019, the General Administration of market supervision and Administration issued the announcement on relevant matters concerning the supervision, spot check and assessment of food safety management personnel, which will randomly conduct supervision, spot check and assessment on the main principals and food safety management personnel of food production enterprises when the enterprises carry out on-site inspection and supervision of food production license. The State Administration of market supervision requires in the announcement of "supervision, spot check and assessment of food safety management personnel":

    1. The enterprise coverage rate of supervision, spot check and assessment shall not be less than 90%, and it is qualified if the correct rate of answer is more than 90%;

    2. Food production enterprises shall provide food safety knowledge training for employees, and those who fail to pass the examination shall not engage in food safety management.

    For those who fail in the selective examination, the enterprise shall be urged to rectify within a time limit and make up the examination in time.
