The desalination plant works according to the principle of vacuum distillation.The ship’s host waste heat is used as a heating medium for evaporation.Evaporation occurs in the evaporation plate in the lower part of the shell.The incoming water evaporates from the high vacuum inside the shell.The resulting steam removes the droplets of seawater as it passes through a metal screen.
